It’s like nothing else in the world matters, but this little tiny slimy human taking their first breath and coming skin-to-skin with their fierce mama. Mom’s first clutch of what she brought into the world is nothing short of breath-stopping. I would have to say I fell in love with birth when I was 11 years old at the birth of my little brother. I was in awe of the power of a woman and how life begins. My next encounter wouldn’t be until 2015 when I birthed my first little human during a husband coached unmedicated hospital birth attended by a wonderful Doula. “Every woman deserves to have this!” I said to myself in reference to the Doula support I received. I loved my birth and still to this day I can reflect on it with pleasant and empowering memories. I had my second baby in November of 2019.
